Tomoko is Director of the Sogetsu Ikebana Teachers’ Association, Auckland Branch, with more than 50 years of experience in floristry.

Originally from Japan, Tomoko has lived in Auckland for 33 years and has more than 50 years of experience in floristry, including running her own business, HanaClub NZ.
She holds a Diploma in Teaching (Adult Learning) and received the Komon teaching qualification from the Sogetsu School in 2024. Tomoko teaches Ikebana to community groups, secondary schools and private groups, sharing Japanese culture with warmth and extensive practical experience.

A welcoming small-group session for first-time participants and anyone curious about Japanese flower arrangement.
ExperienceBeginners are welcome. No previous Ikebana experience is required.
